Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

We used to have one and listened to it daily, since my hearing and focus have gotten worse, I haven't listened to it in the shop in years.

Every now and then I'll stick my ear buds in and listen to a podcast, mainly if I'm grinding a lot.

 

I just watched the entire world series in less than 7 minutes, game 5 highlights.

I've never liked the Yankees for some reason and can't bring my self to watch em.

 

I caught up reading this post

 

Apparently, they were QUITE surprised.

 

I now at least think the Yankees may be involved.

 

Doing well, we went to Japan last month. Was an amazing trip.

Been wanting to make a dummy ball for the wood splitter so when I put the lock on it you can’t mess with it. I figured since it was fresh in my mind on the lathe, yada yada.

I'm not seeing the weld.

In regards to aluminum spool gun welding:

@six5crèéd , do you have the 30A spool gun?

Next question: do you have an answer Optima Pulse unit attached?

Last question: Does the pulse feature dramatically produce better welds?

 

The front end of that shure wood look good on my shop wall.

Never understood why its called the World Series, its really just the United States playing each other.

 

My pea brain doesn't understand how you do any of this. It's amazing, which is why I follow this thread.

 

Fun task of the day, fit a hexagon into a round hole.



The plan has been drawn round for... forever but since we built new walls adjacent to this, I might as well fix these walls, too.

And that 5' 1-7/16" wall is and inch and a half out of square, so that will be fun, too.

 

We do have the 30A spool gun, no pulse though. Just the gun attached to the Millermatic 250.

 

Sometimes I don’t understand it either

 

Same set up I have. I've never used a pulse feature. I guess I'm fine not knowing if it's worth it.
