Different CPW requirements between Bobcat and Mountain Lions

 

Was planning on running Tellurium Creek a couple weeks ago, but my friend had to back out. So I thought, why not have some fun with my crawlbox on a simple trail Welp Rainbow Falls got me! Same friend that had to back out came up huge, and actually had a spare part in his truck! So an hour or so of laying on my back getting the old part out and new one in, I was able to get home! Dropped the broken piece off to get strengthened, and it definitely looks more stout (I know for safety reasons it won’t crumple like it’s supposed to).

Delivery vans getting dropped off at the "new" (been sitting empty for a few years) Amazon warehouse by my work.

The traffic nightmare is off to a good start, even with acres of empty truck-friendly parking lot, the drivers are unloading in the middle of the street.

 

Which warehouse? I'm out by the airport, and those have been busy.

 

Forge Road, off Garden of the Gods near I25.

 

Amazon was renting a building off of Arapahoe and Potomac, down the block from my job.

Really not looking forward to it. The traffic patterns here are already nonsense.

Garden of the Gods Road is three lanes in each direction. A new In-n-Out just opened right off I-25 and the only way to access it from the highway is to make an unprotected left turn across three lanes. Exiting back to the westbound lanes requires another unprotected left back across those same three lanes. Getting onto northbound I-25 requires a dart across three lanes. There's a Chick-fil-A two buildings over from the In-n-Out that has the same arrangement. Raising Cane's across the street, pretty much the same story.

The Amazon warehouse is 1/4 mile west of here.

Maybe the auto body shops in the area are also in charge of infrastructure planning.

 

What a mess

 

There was such uproar when In-n-out opened in Arvada a few month ago, saying its gonna bring the city to a stop and all this crap about traffic. In-n-out managed the traffic better than any sporting or concert event staff i've ever seen. There were never any cars backed up on the major streets, they were able to bring them all into the parking lot out of everyones way. .....Now the Amazon warehouse is going to be fucking nuts the entire day and night too with deliveries to the place. God speed on that

 

I remember the mess when the Lone Tree In-n-Out was still novel. They had coned off lanes out the parking lot and around the corner for the drive-thru overflow. You're right, though--they owned that problem and managed it as well as possible. Credit to them for that.

I haven't seen backups into the public roadway from the restaurants I named, just awful infrastructure design. That's the city's fault, not the restaurants'.

 

Hit up Raising Canes in FoCo around lunch. So busy, they have a "dedicated" turn lane on College Avenue for the drive thru. Pretty sure there is a sign for it.
I could go for some In-n-Out burgers right now with all this talk.
