Random cat was doing that to me on my way to the mailbox a little after midnight. I've seen the cat outside many times but would always keep it's distance. After 2+ years it finally allowed me to pet it and then walked in front of me like that all the way to the mailbox and back. I had assumed it was a stray up to that point but someone has a tiny bell hanging from it's neck. I'm not a cat person especially with the allergies but I feel the bells a bit cruel for such a stealthy animal

 

Is midnight your usual mail-checking hour?

 

absolutely overthinking making a new frame.

overthinking is already making me consider bigtime time scope creep... buying a cab to drop on and cage isn't that much more work?

I feel you there, my day is almost over though, then I gotta start doing. Today is upper arm bushings... again. Started the efan conversion yesterday as well maybe work on the shroud adapter for that too. Still to do and unstarted is hydro ebrake, and more wiring (im putting the wiring off though cause I don't feel like doing it )

 

yeah today is a shorter day for me too, so I should have time tonight to finish the diff reinstall/repair that actuator
Haven't been home since Wednesday morning tho, then gone Friday till Thursday night... lots of planning to take place in the mean time.
I also started re-doing my wiring a few weeks ago, just before deciding the frame is fucked.

I'm just gonna slam the truck back together for the winter and just build something ground up.

 

Wiring has to be just right or not at all IMO, which is why I put it off until I feel like doing it right, tidy, covered, and documented.

 

yeah I originally built up an auxiliary box for lights in 2017, but then had to cram an electric fan in sometime in... 2018? and it has needed repair a few times since then, I added all the circuits for the 2GR swap to the OE box with crimped metripak terminals, so a re-do of the aux box has been on the list for a minute!
