My room doesn't have heat. I rent the only room in the house that doesn't have heat i use a plug in heater works well but make the room super dry even with a humidifier. So I tend to not use it. Hoodies and socks and 2 comforters normally does the job.

Well got some side work lined up for Sunday. This guy I know through my sister always hits me up when he needs work done to his car. He refuses to bring it to the shop. Kinda boggles my mind though cuz he's a wall street guy and makes a boat load of money. But hey it put some cash in my pocket. Easy money for me I guess. Just pads and rotors and new serpentine belt. I don't kill him on price he's a good dude know nothing about cars. He's brought me his car before just to replace headlight bulbs. I wouldn't even charge him for that.

I have a similar friend who’s like this with home improvement. I installed a ceiling fan, wouldn’t take his money but gladly accepted dinner. :D

This is the longest stretch in my lifetime that we’ve had without precipitation here in SE PA. Lawn is shot and now low ground cover shrubs are succumbing to the lack of moisture. :(

Our bedroom, which was built as an upstairs addition on 2000, is kind of like that. despite numerous attempts, the heat from the furnace and heat pump are minimal. We had an electric heater to supplement things but the room got so hot and dry that I couldn't take it. Now, we just sleep as is. On a cold winter evening it might get down to 62 or 63 degrees, but we are under blankets, so no problem.

Good morning PA. last day of the month and last warm day. We get no trick or treaters in at our house, and this is the first year my grandson said he's not going. He says, if you're driving you shouldn't be going. make sense to me. So, I can relax tonight.

I know some folks like that. I believe one of the biggest reason they don't go to a professional shop is less about the bill for it but more about their time and the inconvenience to them.

For the first time in six years, I was unable to get off work for Halloween, and my mom let me borrow her Murano so my truck could be part of the Halloween display as it has been since 2021; I cannot remember the last time I had the A/C on in the car on Halloween!

It was still under 70 when I was driving to pick up my girlfriend, but it felt a lot hotter!

On Christmas in 2015, it was 70 and very humid, so we had the central A/C on in the house. However, like I said, I cannot remember ever having the A/C on in either the house or the car on Halloween!

This is the current temperature…

    Ugh!

    I've got a natural tan so I can't relate.

Interesting that sunlight exposure presents a better temperament for you.

Well, would you look at that...from Google search:

Sunlight is essential for human health and well-being. The health benefits of sunlight include generating the production of vitamin D, supporting bone health, lowering blood pressure, preventing disease, and promoting good mental health.
