Spent an hour or so yesterday getting the front lifted about an inch to an inch and a half higher. Then, I got it toed out about 1/8". The install instructions suggest toe in, however, this thing barely hits 20mph and is only used for inside the gated community. Once I decide if I want to give it some more juice, I will probably change to toe in. I used these settings based of automotive recommendations. Rear wheel drive and lower speeds = toe out.

Pretty happy now that it's done.

We'll still feel the effects for sure. Got everything cleared up and boarded up. Storm's tracking south so praying that tracks tomorrow as it heads towards land.

Received this last week, however, the hurricane sort of distracted my attention..

Got the gym makeover completed late last Friday night:

And then Saturday morning, we went around the neighborhood to assist neighbors in cleaning up with Helene.

Filled up 2 dump trailers to the max.

Already volunteered ourselves for the next cleanup after Milton.

We are safe and truly fortunate.

Spent quite some time in the garage this weekend.

The pool pump failed us after the storm. Not sure what happened but a new one is on it's way.

Golf Cart: the never ending project...

    - New brake cables
    - new brake assemblies
    - new rear axle bearings

Still experiencing a slight wobble in both rear wheels but I think that it's due to the rear hub assembly. I checked the axles today and they seem straight. The new axle bearings in the rear are definitely noticeably smoother.

I have a few things coming this week:

    - fender flare kit; wet pavement kicks up a good bit of water and debris.
    - rear drum/hub assembly; new pads aren't quite grabbing right and the wobble still exists. This is all I can think of that's causing the issue. It's not the axle, it's not the bearings, it's not the spacers and it's not the wheels.
    - new brake pedal pad; I think it's why the brakes aren't working right. It's not sending signal to the time delay module which, definitely helps with the stopping power. Everything else works except the brake lights.
    - d rings and cargo net for the cargo area

Got some things done on the truck this weekend, too in between working on the pool pump and the golf cart.

    - topper door lock retainer clips; thought I had one on each side so I had two but the passenger side had both that looked like the following:

    IMG_1214.jpg

I have two more coming and I have 4 grommets coming to help with the rusting. Simple fix once you remove all the old rusted pieces between the trim and glass.

Finally swapped my antenna base that disintegrated...

    IMG_1215.jpg

    IMG_1217.jpg

Got the pumpkin swapped out too...

    IMG_1218.jpg

Received my fuse panel, 12V reducer and cables for the fuse panel. Also got my front and rear axle bearings, too. This stuff was delayed significantly due to the storm.

    IMG_1216.jpg

I'll get tot he front axle bearings once the rear is finished up and the brakes are set.

    Busy weekend. Sore and tired.

I have succumbed to science and not "best guess".

    upload_2024-10-15_13-1-46.png

Eyeball alignment is OK. But, this thing gets converted to lithium and get double the juice out of it, the alignment can't be "OK".

I really like these plates versus the traditional ones. I won't need an extra set of hands.

    A few wins today:

    1) pool pump is fixed and working! Old motor seized up pretty fucking good. Gonna have it rebuilt and keep it as a spare on the shelf. Had a celebratory jacuzz.

    2) toe plates came in today and the thing was only 3/8" toe-in using my eyeballs. Got it dialed in and drives like a dream!

    IMG_1244.jpg

    Reminded me of snowmobile tracks.

    3) got the fender flares on the golf cart; only snapped a photo of the fronts today that I did during my lunch break. Got the rears finished up after work when 2 sets of hands were available. Took some thought and modification, but definitely happy with them.

    IMG_1241.jpg

    IMG_1243.jpg

Got to clean up the pool a bit after sitting for about a week without running. Then we get to decorate and dress up for the Halloween golf cart parade around the neighborhood tomorrow evening.

This was a project that was out of my comfort zone. I absolutely hate and despise wiring.

    - Amazon rock light kit
    - 6 way fuse block panel
    - 36V to 12v voltage reducer

Got the rock lights fitted with rare earth magnets I had laying around:

    Testing placement and brightness:

    IMG_1344.jpg

10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag:

    IMG_1354.jpg

I have some small cleaning up to do, but the test drive tonight was successful.

Currently have the light bar and rock lights on the 12V circuit. It has its own switch so it's not constantly on. I might move the USB ports to the panel, too, but undecided.

    NTD..

    IMG_1360.jpg

My HFT adjustable snap ring pliers broke after 10 years..

    IMG_1377.jpg

    IMG_1380.jpg

Restocking the electrical supplies after the golf cart dwindled my stock..

    IMG_1382.jpg

    IMG_1381.jpg

I want to get the dashboard display LEDs and switch LEDs to all match, too.

    IMG_1387.jpg

I'm going to move the USB charging port to the fuse panel on the 12v system. The battery capacity gauge above does voltage too, so I don't need 2 meters reading one system.

Being able to toggle power from the USB port is a nice feature, too. It only needs to be on when/if it's needed. Not 24/7.
