OOOOO that will be a FUN bike for sure! Ill say that tail setup looks better than the appendage that is a stock setup.

    NO JOKE!!!

Plated PROPER dirtbike is one of the best things I have ever done to my moto life. I have seen places only a handful of people have and you can get from point A to B off road probably the quickest especially when things get gnarly. Oh it takes you 2 full 8hr days 4 wheeling through the ruibicon.... I did it the hard direction in 3.75hrs lol

This is true, but I also have seen a few too many broken legs in here for me to have an appetite for that. I'm a wuss.

Speaking of, I got into a boot early. Doc said I healed so well I got to skip the walking cast.

Glad you are on the mend. I hope the pain isn't awful and the boot isn't too inconvenient. Who knows, might even get you laid!

About an hour and a half left of driving. Stretching a bit at a rest stop. Left to grab the trailer around 7:45 this AM. Should be home at 5:30, unload, drop the trailer off, and be done by 6:30.

I haven't had any pain meds since leaving the hospital. If the boot helps me get laid, I'm going back for the other foot

As a single dude in a dry spout for a while.... if thats what it takes.... *puts walking boot on from previous broken foot from dirtbike*

(that broken foot was due to wearing essentially normal hiking shoes while riding a dirtbike and then looping it..... had I had on good proper boots id of probably been fine)

So here’s where I’m at with the 701 after about half an hour walking around, a bit of a spot sponge bath in the garage, and making a list:

    IMG_2132.jpg

    IMG_2133.jpg
    IMG_2134.png

    Update:
    - coolant
    - brake fluid
    - rear turn signals
    - rear tail tidy
    - swingarm spools
    - kriega heel plates
    - wiring connectors/pins to make turn signal adapters
    - aaaand air filter cleaner

    Have all been ordered

Oh, and a new toner cartridge and pre-3-hole-punched paper to print out the 400 page repair manual for it

Someone take my credit card away from me before I order a seat concepts seat :anonymous::spending:

Edit 2: didn't buy the seat, but I did buy a sprocket/chain set.. another $172

Changed the oil on my bonneville yesterday. Ran the fuel with startron in it, lubed the chain, plugged it in to the battery tender as always. I might not get another chance to ride her this year but I'm hopefull. But if not it's been prepped for storage.
    Sad day for sure.:pout:

I put my Honda and Buell both away for the year a couple of weeks ago already. Previous years I got wrapped up in other things and found myself doing it when it was really bitter cold out. This year I got a little smarter about it. The 2 FJRs will still be ridden almost daily providing the roads are clear.
