It's not the size or how fancy but how you use it or something like that.

Yeah it's bigger, badder, screwed to the wall, and most importantest most safe-ish. Look up 'Branick 7400' in Google Images and it will make sense.

I was about to buy the 9" bed bars but I never heard back.

Unfortunately my impulse to irresponsibly spend money fades as quickly as it arrives.

    Don't neeeeed them immediately anyhow.

Just in case anyone is curious, I tallied up all my gas/mileage receipts from the recent road trip. Total fuel cost to drive ~5,200 miles was just a couple bucks over $1k. Average economy on 33's is 16.3mpg. Best single tank was 22.13mpg which is up there with best all time since I've had the truck on any size tire. Worst was 14.97 and that was heading west through South Dakota which is usually due to all the headwinds and hills. None of that matters if the goal is smiles per gallon but figured it might be of interest for data nerds like me. Frankly I thought it would be much worse so while I wish it was higher I'm not at all sad with the numbers.

Like Dan said. Thanks for sharing.

You stopped at a lot of cool places I hope to check off the bucket list someday.

Like South Dakota. I was out there as a kid but remember very little.
My wife said if the group ever heads out that way, she's coming with.

Last time I was out to South Dakota, western MN and most of SD were uphill...both ways. Only thing that saved me was the 40MPH tailwind on the way back.

After all of that, the most important thing is: Were you glad to get back to work?
