Just kidding, I searched and waded through the 85% of the results that were people telling OP to search for it. There really should be a sticky.

But oh what a difference a set of tires can make.

1 month ago when I bought it, stock RuggedTrail A/T in 265/70r16:

I've run several sets of the original KOs on Jeeps and other things along with KO2s on the 4Runner, and this is without a doubt my favorite 50/50 tire for truck/SUV use.

Same KO2 goodness, all new round bits on the inside. Zero rubbing with the stock OR wheels (16x7, +12 offset I think?), and just a hint of rubbing at certain steering angles with the F5's (16x8, 0 offset). I think it's just barely grazing the mudflaps.

That and the increased road noise as they get older is why my wife made me switch away from the KO2's on the 4Runner. Ended up with Trail-Terrain T/A on that. It is definitely quieter on the road, but the KO/KO2 noise never bothered me at all.

I think the 265/75-16 is the perfect size for a stock truck or a small lift. They still ride well and don't add too much weight.
Those BFGs are good tires. I'm running Wildpeaks and will buy another set when these wear out. Hopefully, next Spring.

It is a very good size tire for a Taco sized truck, very proportionate. After a lifetime of driving fun/odd/project cars, I decided my mid-life crisis car was going to be the most boring and utilitarian thing in the world and I swore I was going to keep it stock and bland. I'm still set on keeping it mostly stock, but an inch or two of lift is definitely on the list. You know, mostly to level it out and stuff...

Thanks! Pics of yours with 2.5"? What lift did you go with?

How do you like it? Anything you'd do differently if you were to do it over? Rough Country seems to be pretty polarizing in the internet opinion space, it's either pretty decent for the money, or the worst thing ever put on a truck.

I think everything is just fine. I purchased the equipment from their site and had my local Toyota dealership do the installation. After a couple of months, I went through the install checking the nuts and bolts for tightness to be sure nothing had loosened up. This is just enough clearance for off roading here in the Carolinas and overlanding out west.
