Well I was going to, but everyone seems to be treated differently by them . I worked there for a half year doing fabrication. They suck at communicating unless you're rich rich hahah Like I said though everyone gets a different treatment I wouldn't expect a response unless you pull up to his shop and ask what's happening with the communication

I would've done that already if his shop wasn't on the other fucking side of the city.

I'd say get a refund and buy local still from Pac Raks he's a great guy and all his parts are all cut by his laser machine nothing outsource it's truly hard to find any fabrication shop that doesn't outsource parts cutting these days . Avid hasn't changed their customer service lol

Do they do the powder coating in-house? Last time I talked to him he said he was waiting for them to get back from powder coat

They use to be in-house sandblast n paint but he was 50/50 on the power coating with his neighbor who did custom trucks . that guy doesn't have his shop anymore so I don't know if he sold off his power coating stuff . But anyone out here is a usual 2 week lead on powder coating unless you're giving them mad work flow . but that also sounds like the classic avid answer also lol so I wouldn't believe it especially if you don't see them in a few weeks

That is what everyone had troubles with when I was a fabricator there . Getting ahold of them . Its annoying but you gotta constantly call and email alllllllll day for days will he comes through if not do what others did Show up at the shop and say what is up . Just annoy him to talk to you . super annoying but that's really the way

PS : Anyone who thinks I'm just talking crap, I'm not. Facts are facts . I'd say it to Brandon and his buddys face . I don't support bad business practices especially when it's still the same years later . everyone gets treated differently there.

When I originally asked about them and in my initial search for threads on their products I just kept seeing people say "Brandon is good people" whatever the hell that means. Never trust anyone who says "X is good people".

Yeah because those are the people who go in person and become friends, Yeah he's good people doesn't mean good business practices. I didn't say anything because I didn't expect them to still be the same lol and I would have said something, then all those people would call me a hater but the history says it's facts lol

If you want local that's actually nice quality look up pak raks he's on his game, great customer service and awesome quality not gap filled welds like the competition locally.

I say fight to get a refund then contact Greg at pak raks I'm sure he can push a set through with the quickness he also has in house powder with a team of employees so it's not gunna be this jumping through hoops

Well that was me who said that. You asked what people experienced were with him and I always had good service and he also did a bunch of work on my truck aside from sliders. Maybe I was lucky but the different times I went I experienced the same services. Maybe I have a different idea of time frames and allowances . But I felt he always did right by me and gave me fair prices.
I'd take the advice and go down there and talk to him, even if it's across town and either get your $ back or get a acute time frame and all of your questions answered.
Also why are you getting power coating on your sliders?

And I'm not disagreeing with @Milota95 because he has way more personal experience . I was just stating my experience. Also is" pak rack " the name of their website?

I got Avid sliders in Sept 2023. It wound up taking a little longer than I was hoping, but it wasn't a big deal for me. Communication wasn't instantaneous, but Brandon always replied to my emails.

I've also purchased stuff from PAKRAX and DRT. No complaints with either of their product quality either, but they responded to communication faster because they have active social media. I can't really compare the turnaround between avid and those two because the stuff I got from them was smaller and already in stock or preorder and shipped out pretty quickly.

I don’t offer sliders but my recommendations locally would be pakrax or Wescott
