Good to know, gonna have to talk to the local smith and see what he says about fitting a new barrel.
Floated the idea to my dad about re-barreling it and maybe changing the chambering. Maybe an 18” 7MM-08.

Finally took the time to clean the bobcat last night, it wasn’t super nasty but the suppressor definitely makes it dirty quick.

Put the can on the .243, mounted the scope, took it by the gun shop after work and they bore sighted it for me.

Put just under 30 rounds through the gun this evening, barrel should be fouled now, shot this group with Hornady Whitetail, but I want to see how it shoots with the Barnes TTSX in the 80 grain variety.

Hopefully the Barnes works for you. It was inconsistent in our 243’s My son’s 243 shoots excellent groups with Federal Fusion 90 gr. If you can find it…Mine is strictly for varmints and pushes 58 grain moly coated vmax hand loads to sub MOA accuracy.

I hope so also, I haven’t shot the Barnes ammo before, during the ammo shortage it Barnes and Norma were the only 2 companies we could get 7mm-08 from at the gun shop, sold a decent bit of it but I’ve never shot it. I want to say the shop had some of the 90 grain fusion ammo when I was there today, I shoot the 150’s in my 308, but for some reason my guy is making me lean towards a bullet design other than cup and core for the .243 in case my wife (or I) land a shot in the bone, I think* a TTSX or CX projectile would handle that better than the fusion/core lokt as the .243 just doesn’t have the mass behind it that the .308 has.
I’ll be quite happy with 1.5MOA or better.

Not a bad price. I paid 1125 OTD at my LGS.. East Valley Tactical. They priced matched another online seller. Then they did it again for a buddy who wanted the same setup. You'll enjoy it for sure!

Shared in the what have you bought thread but my Hellcat pro was just released. New Washington state rules we have to play by. Oh well it gave me time to get my Vedder holster delivered. Hellcat range pack with 5 mags and a crimson trace 3 moa red dot. Plus qualified for the gear up promotion. 3 more mags a a Viridian 3 moa green dot is on its way.

Yeah nice and easy. Never had it want to back itself off either. my Cash 9k has lived on it until recently. Swapped it over to my direct thread FN 502 until my JK 23 can gets out of jail.

being in the same State, curious if you pre-bought mags before the ban? I bought mags for pistols I didn't own yet. :)

There was a one day window in California to purchase mags larger than 10 rounds. I purchased a couple online during that window period.
If I hadn't had too many J.D.'s and Ginger Ale I would have bought a couple more, as it was I ordered 2 of the wrong type!

Unfortunately not for this gun. Everything else I own got new mags before the new rules took effect. This gun was a here go buy a new gun you’ve been working hard gift from the wife. I did not anticipate owning one. So that will leave me with 8 10 round mags once all the promotions are received. But at 30 bucks a piece and 2 optics both available for $200 ish Springfield essentially gave me the gun for free….

Anyone have a LongShot target camera system here?

I have the 300yard system and it is having issues with connectivity after about 200 yards. Wide open area w/o obstructions or other obvious wifi interference.

I have the camera that attaches to a spotting scope, so no help here. :(

An obvious question - are the batteries at full charge? Lower voltage could affect transmit range.

Fully charged and mounted up on a tripod.

I'll probably send it back in for a check.

I figured you would say that.

Do they have a tech support line? Might try calling before you send it back.
