    @0xDEADBEEF

    Although I might be tempted to make them sooner than later :rofl:

    Mainly because I've been really digging these finecut consumables I got.

    Here's a TEQ sign cut out with regular consumables -

    And the same sign in the same size with finecut consumables -

    The heat build up is far less which is evident by the lack of discoloration along the cut path. Not only that, the top one got slightly warped whereas the bottom one is still flat.

    I was 11 when that happened, and was all over the tv.

    Our family would fly a few times a year to see relatives so it scared the shit outta me for awhile when we’d fly

    Oh nice. The fine cut consumables really put the heat where you want it and nowhere else.

    Does that mean you can run it faster at higher amperage?

    Oddly enough, the book settings show as the same speed being used for both regular and finecut (within 1ipm)

    Regular consumables - 45 amps, and 249ipm

    Finecut consumables - 45 amps, and 250ipm as well as a 40 amp, 150ipm slow cut setting

    I used the 150ipm setting but opted for 32 amps as my first test cut. I need to run it at 40 amp and 150ipm to see if it's at all any different.

    Yep I see the bend now.

    I just pulled off my panel and will go about measuring it.

    Only thing I'm "bad" at is deciding what formatting to use for the molle panel.

    With aftermarket companies, they all follow the standard fitment loosely...here's my last attempt at a molle panel for a 3rd Gen owner.

    It definitely seems like a pretty loose standard. Are there items that require a specific hole size?

    It's more like, the spacing from left to right. I see variations in just a few items I own.

    Here's that panel, forgot I made an extra one for myself to keep as a "master"

    20241102_144837.jpg

    They're 1.5" wide openings, which is the most common. The spacing is a lot tighter than the one you linked though.

    I'll toy with it and cut a set out as soon as tomorrow just to see if my pouch fits.

    I didn’t have anything meant for gear oil but Toyota 1281 red FIPG so that’s what went on the Ford. Figure it’ll be alright.

    B-52 flew over San Angelo today. This and the NASA Super Guppy last October are the rarest things I’ve seen in our skies.

    Couldn’t get any identifiers/tail code. I like getting them so my father can confirm if he flew that specific B-52 or not.

    @0xDEADBEEF

    I've got another pattern I'll try out, but I just mocked up the one you linked.

    Screenshot 2024-11-02 164941.png

    I'll deal with the bottom tabs and holes later, this is just to test overall fitment and molle attachment.

    Thinking I'll cut it tomorrow.

    Super Guppy would be super cool to see. It never occurred to me that a B-52 was that rare, but I suppose it is for most people.

    Being adjacent to the Air Force Academy and a few bases, we get all sorts of things flying over. The Air Force will have planes fly over the campus when the cadets are lined up so they can see all the cool stuff they might get to work on if they play their cards right. The planes will often loiter over my home and work until it's time for the fly-by.

    Some fighters did a fly-over for a football game a few weeks ago. My buddy looked up the flight path and said they spent most of their time between 400 and 700 feet above ground. It was so cloudy that we couldn't see them even at that altitude, until their last pass when I saw them flying toward me at what looked like eye level.

    I think the rarest I've seen is an E-4B. There have been B-52, B-1, B-2, all of the more common cargo planes, fighters, and helicopters. It's cool when something unique shows up but the fighters in particular can be a nuisance.

    The local commercial airport shares runways with Peterson Space Force Base. I was on a plane taxiing to take off once saw a C-40 landing.
