    Morning folks :hattip:

Felt like crap all week. Always happens at the start of the change of seasons, cold-hot, hot-cold. I started feeling funky Wednesday afternoon at work. On the other side of it now, and it never got too bad, but ugh. I was a miserable SOB at work the past couple days :anonymous:

It took me way too many years (and way too many injuries) to finally admit to myself that I had limits.
    Paying for it now.

When you accept that "done is better than perfect" as an acceptable standard you get more things actually finished. ;);)

I remember seeing a video on TW of one of these big spool of wires rolling down the highway. Fell off the back of the truck.

Not as big as those spools you guys posted but when I bought my house they left a pretty good size wire spool in the shed. I’ve been meaning to get rid of it. Just can’t lift it myself.

Don’t know what they were going to use it for.

Can’t remember what the deposit was for those two but iirc it was scratching $500 for the pair.

If you needed a hobby, look up copper wire trees.

Otherwise you can likely sell that spool for a fair amount.

one of the counter guy's at the local electrical supply for a while was collecting the old spools like that-- he'd take 1 large, and 4 small spools, repaint all of them local sports colors(technically as offensive as politics to go into detail any more than that!), cut and lay a glass top on the large spool, and then sell the entire chair table setup for $2000 on facebook.

that had more to do with the scrap yard he went to.

my boss had an agreement with one local scrap yard for a while to buy back spools with wire from them. you'd be amazed at how many times a 500ft spool was turned in for scrap with 490ft of wire on it...

Cut into lengths, strip the outer shell, burn off the wire insulation, sell as bare copper. WAY more money.

The bare copper ground wire was like gold to the local methies when I worked at a utility. They were like hound dogs on a hot scent.
