    New guy in the Ozarks!

I'd been looking for a truck for about a year and finally decided on a Tacoma. I ended up purchasing a 2023 TRD Off-Road with 20k miles. It was a rental from Oklahoma but in great shape other than I think someone smoked in it once. The advantage of a rental is that it's a blank slate. It has no mods at all. I'm not planning on going rock crawling so I'm not planning on taking it over the top. I just needed a reliable but fun truck that'll get me in and out of my woods and out when it snows.

    Mods planned -
    • Floor mats (Done) - at a TW recommendation I went with Husky instead of WB's. Great choice. They fit great and feel much better.
    • Black out the Chrome - including infilling the recessed TACOMA on the tailgate
    • Billett bed rail clamps - being a rental, the OEM's weren't included
    • Spare Key - another rental problem. No spare key
    • Headlight Upgrade - It gets dark out here at night.
    • Side steps - I'm 6'5" and the wife is 5'1". I should do something nice for her. I don't think I'll ever need sliders.
That should be enough to keep me busy for a while. This will be the first vehicle I've owned where I plan on doing all the work and the Tacoma seemed like the perfect truck.
