A p0606 code keeps getting thrown on my six-cylinder 2005 Tacoma, from what I've seen here, it could be an O2 sensor. How can I pinpoint which one?

have you try cleaning the intake with seafoarm or similar products? it works pretty well to clean carbon buildup. just find a vacuum hose that's going to the intake and connect a clear polytubing hose with an edge tapered tip and let the vacuum suck in the seafoam a little at a time.

From what I've looked up, it has something to do with a bad o2 sensor and it shorting out.

I have seen before where a failing AFR/O2 sensor can cause P06x codes to set so it is plausible.

A flaky battery/connection can also cause odd codes like that to set.

There's not really any troubleshooting steps for that code, Toyota just says to replace the ECM if the code persists but I'd check/replace the above before condemning the ECM. Make sure to use OEM/Denso (not Amazon/ebay specials) sensors if you do replace them.
