Disassembley has commenced and to the surprise of absolutely no one it’s a greasy grimey undermaintained 5VZ
    IMG_0733.jpg
Somehow the rear main was the only seal that didn’t leak on this turd.
    IMG_0734.jpg
When loading the motor into the bed of the taco it broke the chain holding it from the tractor bucket and fell four feet and hit the ground:annoyed: this is the only damage I can find as of now. IMG_0735.jpg
I would say that the previous owners got their moneys worth outta that timing belt.

Okay good to know as this is my newest vehicle and everything else is 1950-1965 So my knowledge base is from that era, and I am learning about these newer motors as I go.

Well if I’m lucky with really good maintenance I should get about another 300,000 outta that motor

Yeah I'd say that looks great, minimal varnish for so many miles.

Are there any adapters to put 6x135 ford wheels on my truck as I just bought some sick 18” rims that I was told were off a Chevy by my buddy who I know won’t lie to me so he got lied to, and after trying to put them on they won’t fit, I want hub centric so they don’t fail and make my wheel fall off. I found some but I would have to get them machined by my machinist buddy to have the 106mm inner hub.

Got the heads off and it looks way better than expected, in the pic below you can still see crosshatch in the cylinder wall.

Lost two valve keepers so I’m waiting for those and then the other head goes back on.

Okay phone died so no pics but the other head is now on, also what thread type is the end of the rear flex brake hose as my truck won the local burnout contest last year and now that I have functional rear brakes I can’t even do burnouts so I want to put a ball valve in my rear brake line to turn off my rear brakes.

I pay $20 per burnout tire as I get them from the dump and then pay my local tire shop for a mount and unmount for the tires and have new burnout tires on a wheel I keep in the bed.

Can anybody tell me what these injectors are.
They don’t look like the Aisin ones that were in my Tacoma that were brown.

I’m thinking about making the 5th iteration of the exhaust on my truck when I put the new motor in and I’m thinking true duals with an x pipe and putting my o2 sensor in the very middle of it, if I were to do this would the sensor still read right?

I was browsing through marketplace last night and got to talking to this one dude, so now once my wheel adapters are done being machined and I finish my engine swap I will be trading my old wheels and tires for a 1997 Tacoma club cab 4x4 truck with no bed or drivetrain that has a broken frame. I will fix the frame and keep it as a spare as it still has a clean title. And I will finally be able to get my 95-97 front clip swap.

Those injectors are the early ones, in trucks from 95-98 or so. They flow similarly but not the same to the browns

They should work just fine, but you might have a constant long term correction as I think they flow about 2% different. I caution anyone not to run unknown injectors though unless they came out of a good running engine as they could have been the reason for another engines failure.

Ok so they aren’t right but will be better than the eBay injectors in my old motor
