Bilstein 6112/5160 setups

Well, I can add that the icon RXT on stage 1 got me 2.5+, almost 3” empty bed. But… my stock leafs had about 90k miles on them so there’s that. I really like the ride, but the rake is a little steep, even with 6112’s set fairly high.

lol, nope. Extra leafs are still sitting in the garage with my OEM packs. And those are 265/75’s, albeit with only 1 or maybe 2 rotations left in them.

Truck looks amazing and almost exactly the setup I'm looking at but boy that's higher than the Icon guide

 

OK but here's mine on Option 1 with nothing in the bed except some recovery stuff ~ 70 or 75 pounds at most.

 

That's a really sweep profile stance. Can I ask is those are 285s and if those sliders might help with the weighting? Which are those cuz they're perfect.

 

285/75R16 (33s) on DX4 wheels with a +10 off set - Since I take her off road I was more focused on not rubbing than on stance or poke - that's why the CMC and viper cut - again just did not want to deal any rubbing off road - probably over kill but relatively inexpensive ($450 for both) so why not? The sliders (Body Armor) plus the steel skid plates all the way back do add significant weight - to compensate for the added weight I had heavy duty coil overs installed (OME 888) with the Bilstein 5100 - the coil overs give it the 2" lift in front. ICON RXT leaf pack (option 1) give it almost 2" lift in the rear which is also running Bilstein 5100.

 

I did this lift set for 2.5" with the Icon springs at option 3. 285/75r16 KO3s on currently. Had wildpeak A/T4Ws but they caused a radial pull. 2 alignments later then switched tires. Still has some minor issues with random steering wheel wobble (reballanced twice) and a crunch sound going around corners with a bump of some kind but no contact with fender wells that I can see. Getting ready to take it to a different shop.

 

How much lift did you get and are you running stock uca?

 

Do you have any weight up front with the 650lb springs? I was considering doing this with my stock weight to cut down on preload. I was also considering the eibach pro truck stage 2 as well.

But, running some 6112s and 650s from @memario1214 , JBA HD UCAs, and AllPro Expedition leafs in rear.
I have SSO slimline bumper, winch, sliders, aluminum skids rear bumper with swingout, cap, and toolbox in the bed.
No sway bar.
I'd say 650s without the extra weight, will be harsh. As they stand now, they're great.

 

I'm looking to replace my OEM 2017 TRD OR suspension with a 6112/5160 setup, but not really interested in lifting the truck. If it's around (or less than) 1" that's OK for me. Does that seem reasonable/doable with this setup? And will I need anything else? Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm new to all of this.

You can pick how much lift or none at all. I'm not sure on the 3rd gen what the factory specs are other than what the link specifies for settings. Sorry..

 

Thanks for the offer. I'm based in Canada though. I'm also OK with the factory rake (especially since I'm going to be throwing a Super Pacific X1 on the back next year). So would my setup just be both 6112 and 5160 on the lowest ring settings to keep the truck effectively stock height?
