Hey all, brought my 2019 off road in for routine maintenance and they found a leak in my transfer case. Anyone know of a reputable mechanic? I'm in the Santee/El Cajon area. Thanks!

Not near N park, but in SD, try the Truck Shop on Miramar.

Just picked up my truck from The truck shop yesterday, they do good work. Chased down a nasty driveline vibration and fixed it.

Quick and easy access right off 805 South, E Street Exit. Easy to get back on 805 and resume your trip south. (Double check your vehicle if you are a gun owner to make sure not even a single shell is under the seat etc.)

What's up guys! Hope everyone is ready for desert season, finally nice out there so we can go and play. I've been working on Tacomas almost every single day so I need some fun time.

And Im finally done with surgeries for hopefully a long time so I can get back to racing again, injuries are a huge PITA..

Took a day trip to Ocotillo Wells, and finally located the parking meter sitting on a hilltop near a benchmark off Arroyo Salada. It’s about 1.6 miles due north of the Pumpkin Patch. The final trail was too rocky for my Taco and hiked the last quarter mile. Nearby is a four foot high golfball on a tee. I have been to the fire hydrant - that one is more impressive than the meter. I can dig up the coordinates if anyone wants them.

N33 14.350 W116 03.750 - The golf ball on the tee, right off Arroyo Salada. As you face north, take the trail to the left. It leads to the wash at N33 14.605 W116 03.811 that leads to the meter.

    N33 14.770 W116 04.160 - The parking meter.

N33 12.434 W116 02.438 - the fire hydrant. I visited this one in 2007. As of 2021, it was still there. There is another one in Truckhaven that I visited a few years before this one.

Have you been to the phone booth? That one is on a plateau out there on the North side past Truckhaven as well.
Ill be out in OW as well in a couple days to go play before the TG crowd swarms in, my only complaint is all my desert buddies are all in SXS and nobody rides dirtbikes anymore, with age comes a cage as they say! Well not for everyone....seems the only time I get to ride with other people is when Im racing in D37 events.

What are you guys up to for the TG holiday this year!?

Haven't been to the phone booth. I’ve seen pics of it.

Here is a list of points of interest in the area. It doesn't have the parking meter nor the fire hydrant at Ocotillo Wells - the one listed is in Truckhaven, which, I read somewhere else, may be gone. Hard to believe as that one was quite a hike unless you had a very capable 4x4. Not a long hike but several steep hills to hump.
