We ate at the baseball stadium just off of the right side of the picture. Pretty decent Indian food.

My having all the keys for the building meant that I was the poor sap who the alarm company called when some block head who worked in the office didn't close the door after setting the alarm on their way out.

My wife and I go on what we call cheap dates. Often this is at Jimmy Mac’s Roadhouse but there are a couple of other places we will go. Dinner amount to 2 small half portion salads, water with lemon, and all the rolls you will bring us. Dinner is less than $20. We tell the wait staff that it is a cheap date but we’ve been known to tip well. What I don’t tell them is that my tip is based on how many visits they make to our table. Most of the time the don’t give us the time of day…figuring it’s not worth their time. But we have 2 who have figure it out and will visit frequently, bringing rolls, more water, even lemon slices, often they will engage in small talk. For their service we tip at 100% of the bill. $40 bucks is still a cheap date and it’s fun to bless them with a little something something. Last Christmas we tipped one of them $150.00. As we walked out we could see her in tears as she told her peers what we had done. Made it all worth while. I have a philosophy that leaders are born when the need for serving others becomes greater than the need for serving themselves. I love rewarding others who sacrifice themselves to serve me.

I went one better - the company sign in my rear view mirror for the very last time.

If that ain't the definition of happiness it has to be in the top 5.

    Good morning manly men :hattip:

Don't forget your civic responsibility today -- it gives you plausible deniability to complain for the next 4 years if nothing else. :burp:

I forget the exact process, but since I went away from the pension plan they put extra in there. I should really know, but it fails me right now

Some said I was stupid for doing so, but the money has better opportunity to grow in a 401K. I already have more in there in almost 6 years than some guys have in their pension at 15-20 years.
