    Hey all,

I recently tuned my 2023 OR AT.

my tuner suggested the mild/medium. The Tacoma drives so much nicer now, but I have a couple of ‘complaints’:

1- Truck feels a bit jumpy and might be considering lower flavor of OTT. Is the lite/mild less jumpy?

2- I know this is not really that accurate, but distance to empty decreases about 20-25 miles. Same driving, nothing changed. I usually get 309 miles when I fill up. Now I get 284 miles. I’ve gone through 3 tanks and I get the same (284). I use 87.

I don’t mind keeping it as is if I have to, but if lite/mild is just a better flavor, I might call the tuner and have him flash it to that.

    thoughts?

I had the same feeling too when I first got OTT in 2022.

    Transitioned to Lite Drive/Spicy ECT.

I like it where it is now. :)

I wanna say LITE is synonymous with MILD...which is what I have: Mild Drive/Spicy ECT.

i had the same issue when i first got it tuned. I went with lite/mild instead. Lite is the step below mild.

It is much easier to daily drive especially in traffic and in parking lots now.

The default options are 1 level up for ECT, but you can request whatever combination you want.

Regarding your question about being less jumpy, yes going down a flavor will help. You can also request a smoother throttle tip-in and see if that helps.

Thank you all! I went back to my tuner, and he flashed it to lite/mild. Awesome guy. His name is Wayne (copper state tuning). For anyone in the Phoenix area :—)
