So I’m regearing to 5.29s and doing an Eaton E-Locker. Debating doing the front too…but I don’t think I’ll ever need it.

    Thoughts?

How much extra would it cost you to do the front at the same time vs. having to go back in later and do it separately?

if you think you'll ever want a locker in the front down the road, you'd save the labor doing it now since you're re-gearing. I added my front locker when I re-geared. But to your point, I've never used in the last 4 years since I had it installed. Part of that is due to the fact I don't go on trails where I might need it ever since I installed the drifter on my truck and it feels so top heavy. Too worried about getting tippy. I do like having knowing i have a front locker in case I ever need it though.

I'd say save the $ and skip the front locker ... unless you think you'll be on hard trails with the camper on the truck, then yes, add one now.

$1,200ish if I do it now, $2000 if I do it later.

Yeah man that’s my exact thought. Even with the Topo and the increased weight of the Tundra, the truck is still just a little top heavy.

I can’t forsee myself really doing trails that require a front locker. And I guess I can winch since I have one if I do get stuck.

The rear, I’d love to have. I think that’d do about 99% of what I need.

I love a RCSB build. Simply lovely.

I also love how minimal the front bumper is. Nothing garish about it.

Updates. Removed the camper from the truck and switch to King 3.0s in the rear.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Looking sweet man, I haven’t been on here as of late. The mtn I live in in NC was torn apart by that hurricane that slammed into us.

I am impressed with all the things you have done this far. How are you digging that topo camper? I am debating on which route I want to head with my RCSB as far as campers go.

Love the Topo. Sold the Mesa I had, bought a Rincon. Pick it up in less than a month - super excited!!

Hey buddy, I just wanted to thank you for you taking the time to making the reviews and vids that you do.

I haven’t spoken with you in a minute, but my life got turned upside down up here in the mtns of NC by hurricane helene.

In the process of taking my RCSB tundra and making it and evacuation rig for my family. It got extremely real up here and unfortunately the storm claimed the lives of many of my neighbors.

I was able to get off the mtn and take my family to safety, due to my preparation and vehicles.

I would like to DM you my cell, and have a conversation with you, as I am about to buy a camper for it and wanted to get some of your thoughts. I have a couple things in mind, and have owned campers in the past. I am leaning towards a Topo or an AluCabin type setup.

Thanks again, I really enjoy watching the new improvements and unbiased reviews.

    JB
