I'm def going to try a lower wire speed first. I feel like I get rushed because the puddle gets so big too fast and I have to just get moving regardless of comfort or steadiness

Puddle is getting too big too fast because it’s probably not burning in (big down fall to 110 is a typically shitty start). I’m personally not much of a MIG guy anymore, but some of my customers don’t want to pay for TIG or it just won’t work for the purpose. But I definitely burn 3:1 .023 to .030.

You have a dryer outlet anywhere near by? Get some heavy cable and a dryer plug.

Putting in an outlet isnt rocket science either. Here in NH I can legally do it myself no problem in my own home.

Electricians just match up colors all day :crapstorm:

    Check My Sig.
So go down in wire size and slow the wire feed down?

I’ve experienced a similar issue with my 220 using .030 wire. I don't typically do a lot of tube work but I like to expand on my skills when I can.

no you would need to crank the wire feed speed way up, im not a fan of running .023 unless its under 1/8", but too each there own.

No, you would be moving the puddle a lot slower. Wire speed increases slightly in comparison to .030

Remaking my own uca,s because the ones I had made are too short, I am out of hiem adjustment and lca adjustment to get the tire camber right. I’m also losing out on down travel because of the amount of camber Ive got. Any tips or tricks are helpful. First time ever building control arms!

Everybody always has the thinking that it would be cheaper. But nobody realizes that without all of the jigs and proper tooling, it’s not happening. At least not with good results.

One of my reasons to ask. The work that goes into making sure that a product comes out as planned/hoped for is huge. Let's not forget the welding procedure, material, skill etc. etc.. Especially in the YouTube world it is comical how many people think they know what a good weld is from just the appearance based on their DYI knowledge. People need to be reminded that the labor/assembly cost are for "results".

Agree 100% just kinda curious that nobody has done it especially during covid. Kinda along the lines as weld yourself bumpers, sliders, shock relocations even cages. Companies sell to the public and the end user assumes responsibilities for end result.

What CV axle bolts do you guys run, that tend to like high angles? My OEM boot exploded driving 10 miles after fully drooping the suspension and ripping the boot
