Energy Suspension body mount bushings. Who’s got’em and what’s your long term review? Red or Black?
Looking to replace my front body mount bushings in hopes to eliminate a noise.

    You're welcome!

I noted that they have been great. Been on there for 3yrs now. There is a link to the product. What more are you looking for?

I went with the red ones about 1.5 years ago and they’ve been great! Installed them at the body mounts near the radiator. Took me about an hour and it eliminated a clunk I had up front

I've never had a red urethane bushing last as long as the black (maybe 4-5 years vs. indefinitely). Something about the black pigment I guess somehow protects the urethane from UV. Since color is otherwise simply cosmetic, I always buy the black now.

Following as I have had a clunk noise when I go over bumps. Let me know how the bushing workout for you.

That graphite blurb might have something to do with it?

Please ignore the highlighted text. It is from my search, but I can't find a page link without it.

Interesting... Seems that would make sense since graphite is capable of blocking light and would keep it from penetrating as deep into the urethane, which I think would otherwise be a neutral yellow-white color if not pigmented.

Agreed. It is similar for tires. The graphite is both a lubricant and UV protectant.

I reached out to Energy and they said they don’t even have them for 2018 and up. But Rogue sells the energy full kit. Now I’m confused. Also, they won’t sell ONLY the fronts. Apparently could cause body damage if you only replace the front vs all of them at the same time. I’m going to the dealership in 2 days to see what they say about the fronts. My front drivers side is showing some sort of cracking like they were painted but… it can’t be paint. I can’t get in there without removing the bumper. IMG_9687.jpg

Many threads on these. A ton of folks are using the two universal kit ones up front. I started there.

The issue is internal to the mounts wearing prematurely. You can totally get at them just by pulling two screws between the wheel well liner and bumper lip:

Note that going to the dealer and having them swapped for OEM is most likely not going to fix it. The noises will come back.

I kinda figured it would come back and I’m fine with that. Just simply because it would be a warranty repair and also give me a def answer if it is actually the bushing making the noise or not.

I wouldn't ever use poly bushings for body mounts, I tried them on my 4runner and switched back to rubber. They made the 4runner feel so rough like I was driving on overinflated 10-ply tires.

Maybe they are better for just the front mounts though. But for all of them, Never would I go with that again.

I assume your cause to replace them was due to the oem ones failing?

Yes the OEM ones had tears and it was the core support metal rubbing on the bolt.
