As a former 390 Owner, it was pretty gutless. It made a great city commuter bike, but anything with a speed limit over 55 started to get out of hand. In Utah, were 70+ mph speed limits on the freeway and 5000'+ elevation were a thing, you had to think hard about how and when to pass safely. And that was a naked street bike, never mind with all the ADV farkles on it. A 450-690 Duke would be a much more appealing offer for a small ADV option.

The G310 is so small. I really dislike it. Saw one in person a couple weekends ago

Also saw a Ural with an interesting passenger.

    CF Moto debuting a 1000cc V4 with a claimed output of 209hp @ 14.5k. Very spicy!

I can't think of any other reason to design a V4 in house other than to go racing. I'm sure they've got their sights set on the superbike class after their recent success with the smaller displacement bikes. They actually teased this V4 a while back.

Got my Iron Butt stuff from my ride in April! There was some issue with the emails so it took a long time to get here but super happy to add it to my collection of ride certificates.

Just got back to the shop after a nice one hour plus paid ride while on the clock. Had to go pick up parts at 2 different suppliers and everything would fit in a saddlebag so I go be the runner. 82 degrees here today in PA and for November 6 that might just be a record. I love getting paid to go riding.....:bikewheelie2:

It was an incredibly unseasonal 65 for me after being down into the 30's just a few days ago. This is the last forecast day for these temps though. Still haven't turned the heat on at home......

Much of what we do the parts are just too large or heavy to transport by bike but when they're small enough, I'm all over it.

My plans for attending that motorcycle auction Saturday just went in the toilet. I've been keeping an eye on the auction site as they've been adding pictures and updating the listing. I noticed this morning they listed several bikes with the notation "with title" but not the KLR650 I was interested in. I looked up the phone number for the auction house and called them. The guy was super nice but was able to tell me they do NOT have a title for the KLR. He was able to tell me the bike runs fine and is in decent shape, in fact one of the techs from the now closed dealership where it came from had been riding it for a while using the dealer plates on it. In PA getting a title when all you have is a bill of sale is a nightmare and can take some time. I have no desire to jump through all of the hoops required just to buy a KLR650. The aggravation I would alone would more than eat up any financial savings. :annoyed::mad:

I like the FJR for what it is, but I'm just not riding it "as an FJR" if that makes sense. Most of my rides are somewhat spur of the moment blasts through some country roads; not day long (or longer) touring. I'd really like to trade the FJR for a smaller, lighter bike. The FJRs really don't seem to be selling all that well. I'm not sure I'd even get $4000 out of mine (2008 model with 23,000 miles, OEM saddlebags, Givi top case). I might have better luck trying to trade for something smaller and lighter.

Where's the best place to go to get an accurate trade value? I heard that KBB is on the high side and not what dealers use.

Several years ago when I worked for a dealership they used KBB and NADA then sort of "split the difference".

This is a bad time of year to sell a bike, at least where I live, as most are now being put up for the winter. I got lucky last year on the 2013 I bought but that deal worked in my favor primarily because the seller just wanted it gone to free up garage space. Since Yamaha has finally made the official US announcement the the Super Tenere and FJR will not be back in 2025 for the US market I'm not sure what that will do for used pricing on those bikes. The PO on the 2013 had added a Tracer GT to his garage and loved the smaller, lighter bike so I get it. I've been somewhat looking for a smaller ADV type bike to add to my garage but don't really have the room for it.

I have, unfortunately a lot of times they’ll mark something as “in stock” while it’s actually back ordered and send you a follow up email a few days later. What they’re have in stock generally ships quickly though.
