Sup tw. Just gonna preface by saying my knowledge with automotive electrical is little to none. This morning when I tried starting the truck the whole dash looked like it was having a seizure and it would begin the start process then cut off. It ended up black screening everything and was just clicking when I went to start again. Checked as much as I could out the battery terminals look fine nothing is loose that I can see. Had orielys guy check alternator/battery/starter and all were good according to him. I drove it to and from a buddy’s house and on the way there the screen and ac would shut off randomly along with some of the dash lighting up like it had just restarted. Got back on the highway and truck completely lurched forward losing power again so I took back roads home. As of right now took it to the gas station and back and seems to be running completely fine. Any suggestions on where to start with this kind of issue? I’m trying to avoid taking it into a mechanic for a huge bill. Thanks

Check for rodent/wiring damage, and recheck O'Reily's tests.

Do you still have the original battery? I would check the battery cables and terminals to start with

Thanks for all the replies. Gonna check out the terminals and cables more thoroughly and possibly just replace the battery probably good time to do so anyways.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
For the record, my 2nd gen had the factory battery die right at the 36 month mark. Went from 100% fine to dead in a parking lot. Dealership did replace it under warranty. I'd start with a new battery. The factory units don't last long.

Went outside tried starting it and did the same thing. Cleaned both terminals really well with some baking soda and seemed to have made an instant difference. Hopefully the faulty connection had something to do with that.

Issues with battery connections and corrosion hiding under the insulation of the battery cables are far too common.

    right on!
Yes, there is a very good chance it was a dirty/bad connection,, especially since it was on the fritz while running.

Replaced the battery as well haven’t had an issue since. But something weird is that I was usually able to roll my windows up/down slightly after I shut my engine down and ever since this it won’t let me. It’s not a big deal just odd to me. Anyone know why it might change something like that or how to reset the electronics?

I have a 2nd gen but regarding the windows, I can turn things off and remove the keys, I’m able to adjust the windows until I open my door. Is this how yours works?

That’s weird, I wonder if it’s possible it reset things when the battery was disconnected, I’ve replaced my battery out twice with no change so that seems odd
