Would like to know some good options for running boards that don’t sit too high and also don’t get slippery in the winter

Any parents out there with trucks have input on approximate age your kids started using/needing a step to get in on there own?

I'd say around 3 yrs old and onward. A good investment even for some adults or older people as well like the parents/grandparents.

Other than predator steps I feel everything else runs pretty high.

I had to remove my nerf bars bc they were just in the way lol

Went with the TRD aluminum boards after having them on my Tundra. They aren’t cheap but they tuck up high enough, use the factory mounting points, are super grippy, and offer good protection from road debris.IMG_2222.jpg

Those are bad ass. Besides, you can make jokes about how your truck has wood.

I got a set of Go Rhino RB30 Slims. I've not gotten to winter yet, so I can't comment on how they do in the snow, but they do fine in the rain. They hang 7 or 8" below the floor surface. Not sure what would be considered "too high," but nobody has had any trouble using them so far. They work fine for my 5'10" ass, my 11 year old, my 5'11" wife, and my 5'9" mother-in-law with bad ankles.

+1 recommedation for OEM cast aluminum running boards.

I had them on my third gen and immediately bought them for my fourth gen.

Styling is personally preference but they are great for my kids (8 and 11). Helpful with side protection from road debris as well.

My preference is polished, would like oval, curved ends. I got a ‘24 TRD Sport somewhere between Mexico and here coming so I been looking at what’s available. Any other suggestions with my preferences?
