    Last time I rode the London tube (and Paris Metro), it was a weird time when Europe was on the chipped cards and us heathens were still on the old magnetic stripe. It meant I couldn't buy my pass through the kiosk, and had to pay cash to a very surly live person.


    I did like being able to hop on straight from the airport and go though. That was cool.
