For sure, I’m definitely aware that you don’t get what’s advertised, since there’s way too many factors in play there and every truck seems to settle differently. When I get home this weekend and have my measuring tape, will definitely be sure to measure hub to fender…

    Yeah.
My recommendation would be that if ONLY the carrier bearing drop fixes a vibe issue, just use that and carry on. If it doesn't, remove it and go with a shim. Don't do both. The CB drop is just intended to be a simple, cheap fix that works for many people with a very mild lift. The proper way to fix it will always be to get your angles corrected.

Again, that front part of your driveshaft hasn't moved as part of your lift. It is still in a fixed position front and rear. Best to leave it alone.

Just get your rear 2 angles as close as possible to each other. You are overthinking this.

Gotcha. Yeah I mean that’s what I figured as well after doing some reading, because that first angle is pretty much fixed from the factory, though people’s seem to vary.

Trust me, I completely understand what I SHOULD need to do, I just had some doubt or thought I was missing something since I had a 3 degree shim in there previously which seemed to make things worse and then I took it out. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to make sure I inserted the icon option two leaf in the right direction, or make sure the u bolts were tightened properly. Regardless, the next shim I put in there will be steel, since this toytec one seemed to crush some, especially since the centering pin threads essentially got pressed into the aluminum, such that the ID of the thru hole in the shim shrunk substantially.

I’m not trying to overthink anything, just making sure I’m not forgetting anything, haha

I'm running Deaver stage 3 (about a two inch lift).
Using an OME drop kit and two degree shims...no vibrations.

    Cheers

Thanks- did you end up measuring, or just play with CB drop and different shims till it felt good to you? Just curious.

I began by taking measurements with stock suspension.
Installed all of the suspension components, then measured again.
Installed the carrier bearing drop, then measured again.
The numbers called for two degree shims.
Ordered the parts, installed shims, then measured again.
Numbers were spot on (IIRC it was within half a degree of stock).

    Cheers
