Your watch looks great! Ya I’m not a fan of the bracelets and how they feel.

I've been to two Rolex AD's to "get on the list" for a 36 mm Explorer I. Been on the list for about 4 months and I'm getting crickets. The last time I stopped by the AD, they wanted to sell me a used 2002 Explorer I for $9,000 :rofl:

I've never seen another company make it this hard to buy their products. The sales person did say the quiet part out loud though. They sell watches to customers that buy jewelry. Might start looking at other watches soon.

I was on a waiting list for a few years. I ended up just buying one secondhand. I got what I considered a very good deal on a perfect condition Datejust 36 in the exact dial and color that I wanted.

it would be nice to get a new one, but I wasn’t willing to play their games.

I have a few Pagani Designs including a NTTD style "P-Master". Pretty good for the money and Seiko movements so decent quality as well.

I was unaware that Casio made expensive watches. I always assumed they made only cheap watches. That is all I have bought, because I am cheap. No status symbols for me.

The last one cost less than $20.

They make super expensive watches handmade by Japanese watch autists and then liken them to swords or kabuto.

Nobody but your fellow watch idiot savants will know that the CASIO you’re wearing actually cost five grand not 50 bucks.

I may have owned one in the past. Loved it.

If it stands up as long as my old Seiko, you definitely got your money’s worth.

Seikos are tanks! Though, I take off my watches when I do any manual labor. :anonymous:

Indeed they are. Oil patch job at the time so I needed it always on.

Just a reminder to Folks: Seiko & Seiko Sport are Not the same. This is a “you get what you pay for” moment. Beauty can be only skin deep sometimes.
