    Assembled T harness tie into high beam as signal to added light bar relay coil side.
    Switch at dash panel taps dash illumination wires.
    Switch gets relay coil wire to (+) switch input. switch output is not used.
    LED active indicator LED illuminates when switch is selected.
    Switch illumination parallels all other dash switches.

    I'm trying to "make the match" for a grille light bar and of course things can't be consistent. Can you confirm if I am understanding the diagram correctly? Also, what is the purpose/intent of the green wire?

    Black = backlit illumination, connect to a factory harness white wire
    Green = ? (I'm used to green being ground in non-automotive)
    White = connect to a ground point
    Red = relay signal wire
    Yellow = backlit illumination, connect to a factory harness beige wire

    Here's what I have behind the dash as existing switches to potentially tap into.
    Please note that the lowest three ("Factory Aux") are not complete wiring per other posts where we've talked about the fuses and relays not existing within my Fuse Box on the engine driver's side.

    @BaltimoreMD , since your Taco has the Aux Switch connectors, they would only be missing the relays and fuses in the engine bay box. Have you verified? It would help with just adding the missing items.
    As per the question on the wire colors and their connections all is correct. The info missing is that the missing relay (added) will need either battery or ignition fused source. The is why the info here has green wire unconnected.

    That side is missing/buried (see here as a reminder: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...r-installation-location.844006/#post-30237241)
    I couldn't successfully get the fuse box pulled apart without breaking anything in order to find the other side of the wires... believe me that was my preferred approach!

    So if I was doing a pure hookup with no external sources of power running to the relay, the hookup would be?:

    Black = backlit illumination (negative)
    Green = battery constant positive (power source)
    White = connect to a ground point
    Red = relay signal wire
    Yellow = backlit illumination (positive)

    Viable to tap into this one (circled in yellow)? It's the
    upload_2024-11-6_15-22-27.pngupload_2024-11-6_15-23-15.png

    If so, would the tap setup be?:

    Black = tap into white wire in position #1
    Green = [power] connect to aftermarket harness power wire
    White = [ground] connect to aftermarket harness ground wire
    Red = [relay] connect to aftermarket harness relay wire
    Yellow = tap into beige wire in position #6

    or because of the switch it is, do the taps change?

    The switch I presented is the dash rheostat (controls dash switch brightness).
    Position#1 on it is the switch illumination (-). So yes, it goes to aftermarket switch black.
    Red to fuse harness power
    Green to relay coil.

    The photos are 100% my tacoma, taken by me. For whatever reason I have the wires for AUX dead-ending to the back of the switch bank, but they are not present at the fuse/relay within my engine box. Nor do I have any of the additional aux wiring hardness and locations.

    It's the dash style that matches the Limited Hybrid when you get it with the Graphite (nee Boulder) interior. Isn't it sweet looking?

    You'd have to research for the rest of the dash trim pieces but that specific part# is 55436-AK030-E0 Given Toyota's patterns, I suspect the "E0" is that color/pattern code.
