I'm super glad this thread existed for the motivation to get off my butt and get the Kendas. I've been running kenda 37s on my Gladiator for the last couple years but I've been holding off on the Tacoma because I thought I wasn't properly equipped. But what makes this possible is the fact that it's 10.5 wide. I've already been running about a 2-in lift and got CMC about 3 years ago and a regear about 2 years ago to 5.29s. suspension I've been running the OME bp51 since 2017. I've also had the bumper clearance for awhile. So basically I've had everything I just didn't know I could get the 35s to fit. I just had them mounted yesterday on some of my old wheels and they fit perfect and no rub whatsoever. I see clearance on the JBA UCAs and at the cab Mount no issues. Now wishing I would have done this years ago. I've been running 33s since 2017. I'm in love with the additional height now and I feel like 35s just make the truck perfect.

I tow a trailer and sometimes there are chain controls on the highways in the sierras so I picked up some SZ486 Super Z8 8mm Chains and they look like they are going to work on the skinny Kendas.

Shows they fit a 35x12.50R20 so did some math:
    35x12.50R20
    35" - 20" = 15" + 12.50" = 27.50" outside rim edge around the tire to inside rim edge
    35x10.50R17
    35" - 17" = 18" + 10.50" = 28.50" outside rim edge around the tire to inside rim edge

What offset are your wheels? Kind of looks like those are the FactoryStyle 17 x 8.5", 0 offset?

    Edited:
Are those Toyota rims and did they require modification to fit?

I've been looking at those rims for a 2nd gen and keep getting conflicting information. Mostly concerned about the center bore of the rim if that clears on a second gen.

Mounting a 10.5" tire on a 7" rim should not be a problem. Many people, myself included, have run 285s on a 7" wheel without issue which is nearly an inch wider.

The conflicting information is what, you have to grind down the rear hub register by a couple of millimeters? Easy enough to do with a flap disc.

Have had a few months on the Kenda’s now. I have no complaints, they’ve been great on everything I’ve thrown at them. Since install I’ve regeared to 5.29 and done some additional clearancing as well as trimmed the front fenders. Working out really well.

I’ve been setting them at 30 cold, usually ends up around 32 at temp. I thought that might be a little high but it seems like they’re wearing fine. Aired down I’ve been doing around 18.

Alright nice, thanks. I have my Baja Boss ATs 35x10R17 at 40ish hot and it’s way too rough and bouncy. Gonna drop them later today

That’s what I’m doing with mine too. I ended up in some really sketchy steep iced up snow with a bunch of switchbacks and took them down to 6. All the switchback corners were destroyed from people trying to turn around from getting stuck or there was an abandoned stuck rig in them.

For another data point I run mine around 28 cold so maybe 30 at temp and 25 when it's below freezing. No wear issues so far after 10k miles.

How loud did your first set get after wearing past 15-20k miles? Compared to an average MT tire

They got a little louder definitely. But it was definitely better than a mud terrain but louder than an all terrain. I’ve run KM2s before and those got really loud after 15k. The last couple thousand miles there was almost like a whistling noise with the kendas, nothing the radio didn’t drown out though. I got probably about 30k out of the first set. A lot of wheeling and didn’t keep up with rotations like I should have. Definitely going to this time around

This just sold me! I'm running a very similar situation. I've had everything prepped for 35s... Just waiting to pull the trigger for some reason. Coming from 285/70/17 what kind of gas/ power drop did you have?

What kind of wheel offset you all running with these and you have any UCA clearance issues? I just got some 34x10.5-R17 and trying to run +20 offset to minimize scrub radius and hopefully avoid the CMC.
