Good morning and happy Friday everyone.

Last night I bought some new music from iTunes. That part went ok, when I plugged in the iPod classic, iTunes didn't recognize it nor did my HP laptop. Loooooong story shortened- after getting an apple tech session going, I had to download Apple Music and Apple device manager. The laptop recognized the iPod, the 2 new albums showed up in my Apple music acc't. My iTunes library is completely emptied and apparently iTunes is strictly for podcasts now. My iPod synced then basically wiped itself clean.

15 years of purchased and uploaded music is gone from the iTunes library and my iPod. It made me sick to my stomach.

We our HVAC system serviced today, they do it twice a year. It came with our purchase, I know a guy that works there. 3 years free service, one more year and it going to start costing. It amazes me how much there’s is to it besides changing filters. I never thought that the condensation line and drain needs to be cleaned, keeps mold / scum from building up, IE , no smells. All set for January :annoyed:

I’m in the same spot, there’s is no I Tunes anymore, its Apple Music. I can’t get any of my CD’s to transfer. I can only listen to them on our old PC, or on the CD player. The T4R doesn’t have a CD player :annoyed:

Love that song, I remember the first time I heard it, brought a little humor during a tough time.

The Apple music caught me off guard.. the last time I was on iTunes ( 3 years-ish ago) I vaguely remember a popup saying that the iPod classic was about to become unsupported. Apparently it doesn't officially exist anymore in the red delicious world. I'm more than upset about my entire library going *poof* into thin air. I may go to a fruit store and seek some assistance.

This all makes me so glad I got turned off to using Apple for digital music right from the first time I tried to put music onto the ipod my wife got when they were a fairly new thing.

that stinks. i would hope there's a way to restore it since it was something you purchased.
i still have my ipod as well but haven't updated anything in years. very little new stuff i listen to anyways  and Chebby has a USB in hte glovebox so the Ipod just lives in there.
little more complicated for me as I didn't exactly get any of hte music on it legally :spy: the only reason i still have my old old old dasktop tower is because all of my music is stored on there and i cant easily repalce it. if my ipod ever dies - and it gets a little funky every now and then but i can usually get it going again - i will be lost.

The industry changed without a word. All the music I bought, I can't listen to. Can't buy and listen offline without a subscription, no CD players.

You have to stream and listen to other songs and ads which feed the music industry pockets.

Phones and computers don't want to play MP3 and the MP4 converters don't seem to work well
