 Providence here! Welcome to the shenanigans.

Come on out for the toys for tots this year, we'll be going out to some trails in NW RI, if you haven't been out there. It's more "wheeling" wheeling than Freetown. I've never been out to either with snow though. I hate the cold.

Welcome sir......I live in Wilbraham MA but I lived and went to school in Dartmouth for years. We have "mod meets" all the time as well as do some wheeling all over New England. Definitely check out this thread for a toys for tots meet.....it is about 35-40 minute drive for you. You can meet a lot of us and see what we do.

small world (not for toyotas haha) so i ended up buying a house 15 mins from freetown and ran my 4runner in there a good amount. fun with snow and theres 1 legal decent hill climb and plenty of unofficial options (there are other perimeter unmaintained roads so if we get snow or pretty wet i know some hr long loops out there

dawnpatrol24t on ig if you ever want

you ever hit globe street or know anything out your way? i never went but theres something deep over there if prob try to avoid for a bit

Glebe/rockwoods is 2mins from my house. A lot is overgrown and needs cleanup. Some down trees etc. Don't really know it too well.

Has anyone rebuilt or heard of someone who rebuilt thier rack? Thinking of picking one up and doing it. Theres one for sale in Newton for $50.

I have the capability to make whatever tools I need in a machine shop.

Bet I have a few racks and can beat the price.
There is a company out west that rebuilds them but you send it in then they tell you how bad the damage is. Could cost almost the same as a new one so not really worth it. Point is, yes, I heard of it.

Maybe I’ll take one apart and order the seal kit and see how it goes. Mines not bad yet.

I figure if I can figure it out it could help a couple people out

I glanced it over. Looks pretty simple apart from the specialized tools.

Yeah but the specialized tools arent anything crazy. They say you need a special tool to remove the ITRE and I did it just fine with a thin wrench
