    I have a Tacoma acces cab 21 when i change my speeker my right tweeter l have a wire but no sensor do i need to buy that sensor in the dealer but what it does.

    It's a light sensor, only used if you have auto headlights.

    But my question is if there's a wire i need to get the sensor and it will work.

    I dont think so. It has to be turned on in the ECU to work and I believe there is no way to do that.

    If you don't have an auto position on your headlight switch then no plugging a sensor in there isn't gona do anything.

    But the weird thing is why Toyota left that in there i might find a sensor in a junk yard and put it since i got the wire there see if it work if not well...

    Alot of vehicles are built that way, they may have some or all of the wiring for features that don't exist on the vehicle but the supporting modules/switches/sensors for those features aren't there and/or aren't programmed for those features.
    Sometimes certain things can be added easily but often times not or it is cost prohibitive to add them.

    Manufacturers do this so they don't have to make many different wiring harnesses for a model of vehicle, they utilize only a few different harness variations and add or subtract modules/sensors/switches for various features.
