East Texas? What area?

Prices are picking up a little but still much lower than with all the chaos in 22.

My first climber was a TSS....used an adjustable metal strap instead of the "V" shaped angled piece. NO ONE used safety straps (at least where I hunted in Pa) when I started climbing trees. Eventually, it went to a waist strap only then a harness.

 

Palestine is the nearest town. Tyler is about an hour away

 

Just saw 2 does and a fawn, the fawn still has spots.

couple weeks and I’ll be home with the youngest to take her on her first Texas whitetail trip. Pretty stoked to be back on my land

7 mile an hour winds they said, mebbe 17 mph is moar like it, in the am, i saw squirrels, a 4 legged fox with a bum left front and 1 of these




then in the afternoon, had a button and a young doe bed down 13 yrds behind me for an hour and a half ???

 

I’ve passed on a few nice bucks, one was a low 150’s 10 point and one was a mid 140’s 10 point. Been pretty slow, till about 2 days ago, bucks are cruising and starting to chase. When I get home tonight I’ll post some pics of some bucks killed in my area.
