I’ve been playing for about 50 years, and, I’m still terrible…lol
    Here’s my current gaggle.
Les Paul Studio Smokehouse Burst, Carvin kit, which is all custom and on it’s 4th color, and my Martin DX1.

My LP Studio is another favorite of mine due to the neck w/o binding and how the neck fits my hand! Haven't pulled the trigger on a Martin just yet, maybe someday I'll play one I have to have...

I actually bought this because it reminded me of a copy I was playing in 1979.

I have one git-fiddle with the FR trem system and it is fiddly, fussy and annoying every time I play it. I was told it is a great system and I just don't know how to use it... :annoyed:

With that said, I picked up a Schecter acoustic from SW a while back and it's a doggone nice guitar for $500. Fit, finish, playability and tone are better than expected. The pickup is ho-hum but I didn't buy it to run acoustic-electric...

Finally got around to converting this Peavey 6505 112+ combo to a head. It was insanely heavy and took way to much space.

    The newest pickups.
    • Fender Tom Delonge Signature - Daphne Blue - advertised as "mint condition". It wasn't...at all (flaking clear on the neck, bad nut, slight neck pocket crack). However, I have the surf green one sitting in a humidified case under my bed so I wanted one I could actually play without feeling like I needed to keep it perfect (although my SG has the same clear bubbles on the neck). The nut's messed up as is the volume knob, but it's all fixable.
    • Fender Mark Hoppus Limited Edition Signature Jag Bass - Musician's Friend was offering a good promotion and it was time to switch from "guy who has held a bass" to "guy who can impersonate someone taking their second bass lesson".
    • UtilityBelt FX "Mutt" pedal - It's designed to mimic Tom Delonge's 98-03 guitar tone by blending a Marshall JCM900 and a Mesa Triple Rectifier. It's astonishing how close it matches. I also love the logos - Martian JCM182 and Triple Erectifier Solo Yead (IYKYK)
I have about $112.00 in Musician's Friend points coming my way, so I'll likely grab a Squier Affinity Deluxe Starcaster to try that out.

Been dabbling in bass for about 2 years now, but just picked up a Yamaha FG700 for a song off the local Craigslist since Ive been fiddling with my dad's 1960s Telecaster.

Got my hobby corner fixed up with some hanging storage and now looks proper!

You'll enjoy that Yamaha for durability at the very least. I bought a FG-300 about 25 yrs ago for a campfire guitar (I dont camp) and have treated it as poorly as an innocent guitar shouldn't be. Hung on wall in second bedroom to collect dust for 25 yrs.

Pulled it off the wall couple weeks back, tuned up great and played real well...strings are very very dead lol. Bought a set for it prolly 4 years ago, still sitting on my desk waiting.

No cracks swells or bends. Sounds good
