    Tbh you can't even tell it's cut, mine is so mildly done.

    Yeah, that's why I like it. It's the outside front corner of the wheel well/bumper/fender that rubs when the shock gets compressed while the wheels are turned, and I think taking that part away should solve the issue. I know a lot of guys don't mind that rubbing if it's just when you turn into the driveway too fast, but it drives me nuts. With that said, if it doesn't solve my problem, can always cut more.

    ...and before I know it, I'll be putting on the high clearance bumper, relocating the front cross member, etc. It's the normal way these things get done

    I like that approach, otherwise I can see mud and gravel getting thrown everywhere including back into a winch tray which would be an absolute PITA to clean out.
