I'm stoked about Texas in 2012, and then for MotoGP in Indianapolis and Austin in 2013.

I'm not sure F1 could handle Laguna Seca's corkscrew. The cars sit too low, methinks.

 

I'm considering a road trip to Montreal next summer and Texas the following .

 

We could have a whole TW section of the track set aside. Did you see the elevation changes Tilke designed? Hopefully this track won't be boring. Uphill into turn 1 left hand....awesome.

 

The downforce formulas the teams run would be tossed out the window if the cars were raised. Adrian and Domenicali would pull their hair out.
The heat would kill the cars, especially the new Pirellis.

F1 cars aren't set up with much of a suspension, shock absorbers etc. The cars would be switching loads from the right to left back to right in the corkscrew IIRC. It's sick watching the MotoGP riders go through there from the bike's POV.

Not saying it would be worse or better, but it would be another hot race to watch the Pirellis fall apart on. What happened to the "super hard" compound they rolled out in Malaysia?

 

By the time the race was done, they had enough rubber for a whole set of tires. It was neat to see the lines they were taking, though.

 

Id give my left nut and right eye to see them run at Laguna Seca. I've always wondered what would happen with these cars on a track with elevation changes..

 

What do you mean elevation change? Watch the race at Spa-Francorchamps, lots of hills.

You tell me? I've only seen it on TV. F1 only uses on pit per team so I don't see why not.
