    As @golfindia said, the instructions say not to use the cig cord for more than 150 watts. For more you'd need to connect via the alligator clips in the instructions (or hook up your own heavier cables). You must just not be using much, if any, more than the 150 watts, or you'd be popping your 12v port fuse.

    it's only used for a Canon EOS 1D-D battery charger and Canon R5 battery charger. Nothing else.

    People are thinking you are going to use the complete capability (400 watts) of the inverter, which would draw more power than a cigarette lighter port can safely provide. Your use of minimal power to charge some camera batteries should be fine, as you state you have been doing just fine on other vehicles. But do check the power requirements of the camera battery chargers to be sure - they should have the power requirements on them somewhere. Add up the watts, if less than the 150watts forget about the concerns shown here.

    tried watching a few vids but I'm still not understanding how I'm supposed to use these with my power strips.

    Are these going on the back of the plugs?
