    I think each side has some sort of "double latch" atleast thats what I think the manager explained to me.
    That side just needs a little more pop to catch?
    I dont know!!!
    But, its not broken, mis-aligned, or defective...

    I have the triplealiners bed liner, with the additional tailgate liner,
    Cuz of the tailgate liner, I really have to give it a nice firm pop, even more-so than w/o.

    OP. Go outside and firmly cycle your tailgate and report back.

    I was able to replicate your problem with my 24. Perhaps because I hade a heavy 2nd Gen tailgate for 14 years, I'm in the habit of slamming my gate.

    the drivers side does have the strut, so maybe a little more forced need on that side.

    Heres another issue though.
    The OP is using his power close feature, theres no giving it an extra pop....
    Who knows!!!
    Im just sharing my experience, I dont have a power tailgate.

    Hes using his power tailgate, the motor is doing the work. So there no giving it any extra pop...

    Earlier in the thread you kept mentioning how upset you were that the truck was built in Mexico. My question to you is, why did you buy it if that bothered you? Did you not do your homework?
