I like how they took those AutoZone ramps and turned them into rocks.

Could be the angle of the picture but that bumper on the Bear Tacoma is hideous.

Exterior dimensions when bed size and cab size are as close as they offer are like…6” difference on every axis between full size and midsize.

If anything Toyota needs something compact to go against the Maverick, not in between the tundra and Tacoma.

but that’ll decimate Tacoma sales so

I'm seeing 20.6" difference between the two. I would even take a 5ft bed to keep it short. A Hummer EV truck is 217" with a 5ft bed (bed is actually 1" wider than it is long).

Yesterday I saw blue 1G 4R with the top off on the road.

Outside of ShowStoppersUSA who is going to run Tein shocks on their Tacoma? It does look badass along with the ADS setup.

This interested me the most. They looked so good and the set up looked very hearty. Obviously they know suspension but this is their first dip into off road the guy said.

How serious is the G4 transmission issue? I saw this article today about a class action lawsuit.

There is a TSB for some of the early runs of automatic transmission, and Toyota is replacing those trannies. The problem is metal debris left in the transmission when it was assembled in Japan.

In the filing, the attorney claims that Toyota replaced his failed transmission with the same transmission model, and it could be dangerous to the occupants if it too fails. The defendant claims that Toyota knew of this problem in 2016 (when this tranny wasn't even a twinkle in an engineer's eye.)

Someone's looking for a deep pocket.

The TSB alone is enough for me to pause on purchasing a 4G, I was already ruling out a 24 for perceived 1st year issues. The suit is complete BS but the damage to Toyota's reputation has already been done. Will it hurt sales I doubt it, certainly not any more than inflation has hurt sales.

I'm waiting until '26, unless I decide to get a Ranger. ...but even that will probably be a '26.

Outside the Ranger being available with a ttV6 I'm not really interested in it I like the Raptor version, and the Ranger is a nice truck. I still like the 19-23 Super Cabs. If I was buying a midsize between now and January, it would be a Frontier they have the biggest discounts. No midsize excites me enough to pay top dollar for anything. Maybe if I was really in the market for a truck that would be different. I like the XC Tacoma, but those TSB pop up and then I'm like I'd like to see the interior toned down on the SR I like plain boring ass knobs in a truck, and I don't like the headlights on the 4Gs I see on the road, wouldn't mind seeing something different there, and a 4G XC 4x4 is going to be around 40k. If I have to compromise on what I want I should comprise for 10k less.

Based on my initial research, a *working* 2025 Ranger Lariat 2.7 or Raptor 3.0 is a better truck than a Tacoma.

    Ranger has:

    -significantly better engine options
    -more advanced tech
-more legroom in the back seat
    -more configurable
    -can be factory-ordered

I say "working" because, in theory, Toyota is still more reliable than Ford.
