Old all pro springs let go after some 11ish years, moving to a set of f67s

Blew out another 8” e-locker rear so I decided to beef things up a bit. Picked up a tundra 10.5 rear. This thing makes the 8” rear look like a toy.

For future reference because I couldn’t find it when I was looking in to these axles, a second gen (07-21) tundra 10.5 axle width is 72” wms-wms.
Pinion mounting surfaces to axle centerline is only .875” longer then an 8” e-locker.
Stripped down axle with no brackets or brakes weights 274 lbs.

If you blow it up again, JD Fab can make a full floater 9". Though a 10.5 may be sturdier. :notsure:

Got the third set up, 5.29s and an arb. Axle’s all cleaned up and painted. Still gotta finish converting it to 6 lug, do a little bit of wiring, and plumbing.

I had one apart last weekend and it has larger bearings and looked larger compared to the ultracase 10" race gear I run in my camburg housing. The third also was alot heavier weighing like 120 lbs. Should be strong enough.

Finally got around to installing the transgo hd2 shift kit after it sat on my shelf for about 2 years. Wasn’t too bad of a job took an evening to knock out. Went with the truck settings and I’m pretty happy with it. Definitely an improvement over stock though personally I wouldn’t mind if the part throttle was a bit firmer and the full throttle was a bit softer.

Trans cooler setup I did a while back. Big Hydac 12x12x3 hydraulic cooler (repurposed from cement mixer), inline thermostat, and 12” thermostatically controlled spal fan. Repurposed old trans cooler to ps cooler and mounted it in front.

Had some free time and some scrap laying around so I finally built myself an air box. Went ahead and topped it off with a nice pre-cleaner.

First gen steering rack wasn’t cutting it anymore. Putting together a 4500 style steering kit. De ram, Woodward servo valve, manual steering box, and a Psc pump.

    IMG_1468.jpg

Got bump steer down to a negligible amount.

Was going to do a conventional 4500/4600 style steering using a steering box and drag link but after getting the ram where it needed to be and holding it up there I decided it just made more sense to use a rack instead.

After scouring the Internet, I settled on a Fiat 500 abarth rack. It’s a rear steer electric over manual rack with the correct travel and a pretty quick ratio (just under three turns locked to lock).

Are you a fabricator by trade or just really into the hobby?
I need more time in the lab before I could confidently tackle something like that.

Side quest while I have the lower control arms off. I didn’t care for any of the cam gussets on the market so I drew my own up and had them laser cut out.
The AL bits will be the mounting bracket for the servo.

What am I looking at here? Turn the wheel and fluid is forced through those fittings to drive the hydro assist? Don't think I've ever seen something that's along the steering shaft like this.

This is the most nutty steering setup I've ever seen I love it. So as I understand your using the fiat rack to essentially keep the hydro steering from drifting. You also have your orbital valve in line with your steering shaft. Do you plan on using the electric assist?
