Harvested in Nebraska last year and the taxidermy was done in Kansas.
It should be here in a few days!

I took some screen shots off the video of Cole's deer. It had it's front leg back on the opposite side, the bullet went all the way through the shoulder. If you notice the stump behind it, it changes color from the blood splatter.

We shoot 80 grains of Blackhorn 209 powder and use Hornady XTP sabots.

 

Nice! I used those before. I dropped an old buck in md with one those.

 

I used to use powerbelts, lost a lot of deer with them and made the switch a couple years ago. Have had better results with the Hornady's.

These are awful. I shot a deer in the neck trying to finish it off at 25 yards and it barely went under the skin.

 

I have those now...didnt see anything else locally

Not one of the monsters that come at night, but he'll fill the freezer just fine.
My first deer in nearly 50 seasons I can say I got on my own property!

He was at the upper camera at daybreak where I couldn't see him.
Just for grins, I rattled once, and he came down to me.

Before pic and later pic not long after... 10 minutes later I shot him to be exact.
