    No beach yet...have to wait until January 6. The wife and I are doing okay for a change. Trying to stay out of trouble :thumbsup:. The Grand daughter Marine is getting ready to be deployed to parts unknown. We just hope and pray for them all to come home safe.
    How are you and yours doing? Hope all is well and I have been trying to keep up with your thread as well as the 60+.
    The wife and I got roped into taking an Alaskan cruise in September. Not my idea of seeing Alaska but it was a group of 17 couples from the neighborhood. Never again with that many people. What we saw was nice but the only item iI enjoyed was Meeting a member of the 60+ thread on the cruise...Ken @Sprig. we had a nice chat and met each others wives. Good time.
    Slowly getting out of the social media sabbatical. Miss posting as you can see with the length of this post, but will get back shortly.

    At one of my duty stations a long time ago someone had a carton from Playboy that he would put up every Veteran's Day while we were working. Picture of 2 guys in a foxhole with bullets flying over them and one says to the other what do you want to bet someday they will make a holiday for us and we will be the only sumbitches that will have to work. If I recall correctly a lot more places used to observe Veteran's Day than do now.

    I'm supposed to be working today instead of checking out Rob's thread but a man has to have priorities in life. A coworker is retired Navy too and we decided after our next meeting we are going to go have a long lunch someplace together. We will come back to work when we damn well feel like it. Priorities.
