    Indeed.

My wife drew a permit for my old public watershed shotgun area starting next week. I was denied this year.
Hope she connects with my 220. :hungry:

    Same here, no harm meant.

I've killed em all as well and will put what I can in the freezer to feed my family.

Lots smaller acreage parcels here. No real buck management...i feel very fortunate to get ANY deer. Its especially gratifiying for me get one off my own property.

Sadie and I ran a nice buck off walking in this afternoon. Didn’t see anything while in the blind. Came out and it was right past shooting light and this big doe was in the yard.

Good thing my trailer was behind it and Sadie was with me :anonymous:

I vote yes for the wall hanger. That buck has some nice mass to his antlers. Most deer hunters will never kill a Boone and Crockett class buck. But in my book a nice thick 8-10 point buck is wall hanging material. We used to poach does in South Texas, because there isn't any public land, and leasing any property with the potential of producing nice bucks was beyond my financial means.
what does he measure inside spread, it doesn't really matter because he's a dam nice buck. But sometimes curiosity gets the better of me.

Meat is Meat, doesn't matter if it's a buck or doe. If you happen to get lucky and have 10 pt bruiser walk by and give you a nice broadside shot, good for you. Otherwise just work on filling the freezer, that is #1 priority.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Thanks. I will try to get a measurement tomorrow when I pick up the cape. I dropped him off for processing today (I normally do it but don't have time) and should have him back tomorrow. I have a big 8 on the wall and said I'd never mount another unless it was bigger. This guy is bigger.
