But it’s what I enjoy doing and not something I had to do to make a living. 35 years of it spent on night shift.

 

Stock I took some of your advice (which I never do because it’s usually stupid). But I started trying to save all the siding boards I can. Spent an hour on a beautiful 1x12 that was nailed on to the stringers plus the hedge post.

This was taken yesterday, I finished the end and half the back wall today. Those Hedge post along the front were rotted off just below the ground but I’m saving those also for a future project.

Well since you asked, the hospital that I plow snow for and my wife works at is known for buying new shit for a one time use. Then putting it in an old lot that no one can see from the hospital and letting it rot there until they throw it away. So a couple of years ago they bought a wooden frame storage building with a couple of windows and a door. It’s all insulated and wired. They used it one year then hauled it off. So I’m trying to get it to put at the farm for a cabin. It’s 12x20 and I was going to finish the inside of it with the rusty metal and barn wood.

 

That sounds like a great idea!!
