3-1/2 lift installed turning shuts down engine

I have 3-1/2” installed when turning it shuts down the engine. Help!

I had a lift, wheels and tires installed. The day after is when it first happened. If I turn into a parking lot or turn onto a street it will randomly shut the truck off. I have to put it in park and it will turn back on. It basically shuts down on turns but not every turn. Yes I have called the installer. 5 star reviews I might add and he’s never experienced anything like it. He put a code reader up to it with no error codes showing anything to be wrong.

 

We need way more info than that.

Did you pay an installer? Take it back.

That doesn't mean exactly what you think it means. It isnt instant

 

Loose battery terminal?

Loose terminal. Body roll when turning is enough to lose a connection causing it to shut off?

Or is it doing the same thing when just turning the wheel while stationary? If the latter, I'd be looking at the wiring under the dash, maybe?

 

thank you for being kind. I’m working on it I’m sure I’ll post the outcome. I assumed this group might be familiar with lifts and Tacoma. It makes it more sad no one has experienced this. I thought a lift would get me places I wanted to go and am hoping I don’t regret it. First ever mod.

 

We need more information to give you an intelligent answer. The engine shutting off while turning is not a common issue.

 

the engine at a higher altitude is choking
