Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
In Madison?! I've seen bro-dozers driving around with half of their tire out of the wheel well. The cops down there don't care about traffic laws.

The 2016 OR wheel is +25mm.
    (Come at me @CygnusX191 :fistbump:)
    Spit balling....
You would have to come out a full inch to have your tire even with the wheel well.
    A 285 tire will gain 1" width? ( ÷2 = 0.5" ea. side).
A 285 would be 1/2" inside the wheel well, yet.

So... got my "new" rebuilt drive shaft today from Tom Woods. I cannot say enough GOOD about this experience. They rebuilt my entire shaft with a heavier duty spline than it had before, for half what I originally paid for it. They are amazing. I am so sad that the Tacoma community chased them from the market, because they are a standup group and worth every dollar! The ass hats of the (Tacoma) world have made it so I cannot get a second one and I am pissed off about it!

Oh there will be some mods all right
If you look at their comments, it is just one after another of people saying, "PUT A DISCLAIMER ON YOUR PAGE THAT THERE ARE NO RETURNS FOR A TACOMA DRIVE SHAFT AND CONTINUE TO SELL THEM!"

I just saw one for sale on a 'floating garage sale' thread.
Someone was interested so I never mentioned it.

It's the customer reviews section on the drive shaft discontinued for sale page. If you read through them it's just a ton of unhappy people lol. I kind of agree, they could continue selling them with a no returns policy

Do you mean the crossmember that the carrier bearing attaches to? Because when I had my Tom woods one piece I chopped that right out. Or is it a different crossmember you are talking about?

Been away for a few days. Gotta catch up.

I'll be available on 2 weekends between Thanksgiving and X-Mas. I won't know which 2 until Kimm'r decides which weekend we head back to Tennessee.

I like the final location in the quoted post below. It was made for those lights. Please aim them at the tailgate.
Agreed. My spare lives in the factory location until I hit the trails. Then it goes on the roof. The concern about blocking the rear window, don't Tacomas come with 2 outside mirrors? My 4Runner has 'em. I don't care if I can't see out the back window.
I do like the tire on the RCI brackets, though.
If I spent the :spending:on a tire rack, I sure as 9uck would store my tire on it.

I bought this kit and did it myself.

I sent them an e-mail to see if they are available.

Point them at the tailgate. Copy that.

I was hoping they would be easier to take on and off.
They weren't exactly made for that cover, otherwise they would be.

I need a spare tire more worthy of being on display than the brand X used tire I slapped on it. :D
We'll call it a multipurpose rack for now.
