They just said it was a cheaper tire than the others I was looking at and that the others were more well known name brands and that they had less issues with the more expensive tires.

I was actually expecting everyone to suggest Faulkens as they seem to have a lot of people that like them.

Firestone Destination AT2. Good road manners and great off road. Have had them on several vehicles. Just bought new ones today at Discount. Went up a size to 265/75 16 from 265/70. They matched costcos free install and with 80 dollar promotion they were 800 OTDupload_2024-10-24_13-26-14.jpg

Guess we all like what we like. I’m nothing but happy with my Wildpeak AT3’s. Have >15k miles in a year and they show minimal, even wear after 3 rotations. No balance issues. Noise is a fraction of KO2’s I had on a different truck. Great on snow and rocks; good on mud, highway and wet roads; ok on ice. I would buy again based on my use case and experience so far.

I’m not expecting this post to make much of a difference, just giving another perspective.

I have the Falken AT3's great tires. I plan on getting the AT4's whenever these wear down.

Another vote for the Toyo AT3s. I’ve had the Duratrac (great off road and snow but loud and wouldn’t hold a balance for long), Ultraterrain (no complaints, had better longevity than the duratracs), and the BFG ATs (look great, good off road but poor in snow and wore out a lot faster than expected). So far in the one year I’ve had the Toyos they check all the boxes and have been excellent.

    back to bone stock.
when i bought my first tacoma. used 2006, that i bought in 2008; my wife took it upon herself to buy the tires. (she is fiercely independent, and didnt need my input - at all). she bought the Michelin LTX AT2 or something. i was bummed, but figured i'll get the vote after these wore out. well:

they lasted a long time!! 60,000ish. stupid long. i replaced them after getting nervous with the expiration date.
my MPG went up!! road trips, it was stupid good. i think i got mpg one tankfull going to IDaho.
in the snow, nothing was better. i had to shuttle luggage up a hilly parking lot for total strangers when none of their cars could make it up the snow covered parking lots. even the big mudder trucks. everyone walked up the hill. i literally had the upper parking lot to myself.
4x4 offroading, they were sick. i hunted a lot with that vehicle, and went places that were very questionable. off road, was strangely awesome.
my 90% driving is roads, and they were quiet, smooth, super great at braking and turning.

very anemic looking tire. stupid anemic. but i bought a second set right after those.

i'm too old for fashion statements. i rather be good, than look good. i put coopers on after that set, and thankfully they wore out early. and my MPG went down mpg. my 2006 is rocking the Michelins again. ahhah...

Look at the Michelin Agilis Cross Climate. Have them on a few company trucks and work great
