I have a 23 TRD OR I’d like to remove the decals from the bed. I’ve seen some posts saying use a hair dryer and goo gone. Do I use the goo gone on top of the sticker before heating it? Or just heat it, peal it, and then goo gone the residue? Thanks.

UPDATE Hairdryer and goo gone worked like a charm! Thanks all.

The sooner you get them off, the better, less paint fade.
Also, your local detail shop might surprise you, if you let them quote it. They have removal tools that can take them right off.

usually but sometimes have to go to goo gone, 3m adhesive remover, methyl hydrate, or even acetone. peanut butter and motor oil work on some things too

    Agree with you as usual.
Used to only use wd40 but have found it does not always work on stubborn stickys.
So I ended up with the other stuff.
Have always had methyl hydrate on hand cause it works as a gas line antifreeze and the quart bottle is a better buy than the little bottles of gas line anti freeze. Just pour a little into fuel tank when it's -20 or colder.
Got some acetone cause my friend is a auto body guy and he uses it to remove all sorts of stuff like adhesives and paint oversprays.

If they’ve been on there a while, hit it with some light duty turtle wax polish (after you’ve completely removed the sticker and residual adhesive) to get the “shadow” of the sticker out of the clear coat.

They do look naked without the decals, but the TRD 4X4 OFF ROAD!!!, is a bit much Toyota.

Are there any other decent looking decals to put in their place? I have seen some of the mountain decals with TRD, etc. that look cool. Where can you get replacement one's?

I must be the exception and not the rule, as I did/used pretty much everything on the list above, and my OR bed sticker left a residue like no other. I've used GooGone a lot for sticker residue and it didn't even make that stuff flinch.

I ended up using 3M sticker removal wheel chucked in a multi-speed drill.
Now that worked.........It was all that worked too.

It’s just a matter of opinion but if I had wanted an SR5 I would have bought one. My personal thought is when you go to sale you will have to find someone who prefers the no decal look or put them back on.

If they are like me, they didn't remove them because they didn't like the look of stickers on the bed, they removed them to put on something different........

Or in my case a whole new wrap on the a$$ end

Heat gun then peel off. Clean off residue with WD40. Flush with car wash soap and water.

Goo Gone is too aggressive (higher likelihood of paint damage) according to the instructions.

Residue not cleaned off by WD40 can be removed with eraser wheel.
