I'm actually dealing with that right now. On my 2000 2rz Cali... Only replacing 1 injector and gonna try to pull the rail off the tops of the injectors only. Dont want to have to deal with those cups in the head! If it happens that I do have to, thanks to all for the very informative links to how to get those suckers out. And the link to the kit of new cups/O rings. Very much appreciated!!

Seasoned members helped me out a ton!

    one thing that Oldsilver said
One guy was chasing a vacuum leak for months….turns out was a cracked cup.
That was enough for me and RR’d cups
    Still running strong BTW

In my experience the injectors tend to stick in the rail better than they do the cups. You may need 4 or 5 extra hands to hold the injectors into their respective cups if you aim to just pull the rail off.

I didn't pull but the 1 injector I was gonna change from the rail. And yes, it all went back in pretty easy by leaving the injectors in the rail. However this job has taken a frustrating, to say the least, turn.
My new cups and orings came in and my 1 new oem dealership pink aisin expensive injector was coming in the next day. So I took everything apart. But when I got my injector the next day it was the right one, but it had a piece missing. The pink ring, seal, idk wat it's called but it's the tip on the rail end. It will not seal off without it. I called dealer and described wat was missing and they sent me a grommet that's just like the one that goes on the bottom of the injector. Tried twice to explain to them what it looks like and it's even on the injector in the pic on the website. Wth? If anyone else has had this problem I could sure use some advice on how to remedy this. I've seen 1 other post where this guy had same problem and found a seal kit that he said worked on his. But I'd sure much rather have what the same part that matches my old one. Sorry for the long post.
